Openfund shows only data from official public sources. Every amount carries a badge with its source and sync date.

Methodology

• Project values are in euro as published by the source (ИСУН reports in euro since 2026). Contract amounts are shown without a currency: ИСУН gives none, and older contracts are often in leva.
• НПВУ books many investments twice: as the agreement of the ministry or fund in charge of the whole investment, and as the final beneficiaries' projects. These intermediary records (a procedure of their own with at most two projects, contracts and payments under 5% of the value) are shown with a label but left out of totals.
• For CORDIS projects (Horizon Europe, Horizon 2020) the total value is the whole international consortium's budget. Totals count only the EU contribution to Bulgarian participants; the project page shows both.
• Project indicators (target, reported, verified) come from ИСУН's report on indicators, milestones and targets, for the 2021–2027 programmes and НПВУ. Public procurement comes from АОП's open data (ЦАИС ЕОП) and is linked to ИСУН contracts by buyer and contractor ЕИК and signing date; the sources share no common number.
• Natural persons appear only as officially published. Addresses and personal identifiers (ЕГН) are never stored.
• Organisations are linked across sources by ЕИК (ИСУН, Commercial Register), VAT number BG+ЕИК (CORDIS) and PIC for foreign partners.
• Openfund never submits proposals. Applications go only through ИСУН or the EU Portal, signed by the applicant with a qualified electronic signature (КЕП).
